My story

At 23 years old, just after graduating with honors from a prestigious liberal arts college, I was caput.

I had been living an extremely active life—working, traveling, dancing, athletics—then on a weekend drive to New Orleans, I found myself in a severe car accident. Two dozen firefighters wielding the Jaws of Life were finally able, by the grace of God, to remove us from the demolished car we’d been trapped in for over an hour. I was medevacked to the nearest ER where I remained in critical condition, sustaining multiple neck, skull, spinal cord fractures, and a multi-day coma. Surviving this accident was nothing short of a miracle.

Once I was blessed to awaken from this near-death coma, I began a rehabilitation regimen of physical therapy and a lot of yoga. It took time and patience I didn’t know I had in me, but I was able to heal my shattered spine and my emotional health, and eventually became a yoga teacher.

I understood from my healing process what I difference human touch makes. As a yoga teacher, I’d deepen the experience of savasana with nurturing touch. I soon discovered that my students were returning—and bringing their friends with them—for the loving touch more than the postures. Before I knew it, I was diving deep into the study of Vedic Thai Yoga bodywork.

Since, I have spent the last 12 years devoted to mastering the therapeutic arts, dedicated to helping others heal from pain, and to reconnect to peace and pleasure as their birthright.
